Plas Cadnant Estate is in a excellent location being only a short distance from local amenities, yet tucked away in an idyllic secret valley. Anglesey offers visitors plenty of choice, with a variety of terrain and splendid views of the mountains, sea and countryside.

There is a well organised circular walk, miles of beaches, many within a short drive of Plas Cadnant Estate. The spectacular and diverse natural beauty and wildlife of Anglesey's coastline has long attracted a wide variety of visitors. Most of the coastline is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Golfers are well catered for with numerous courses including four 18 hole courses with dramatic backdrops of the mountains of Snowdonia. A wealth of water sport related activities, sea fishing, sailing, wind surfing, diving, canoeing. Many other activities include horse riding, walking, climbing, and cycling and motor racing.

Steeped in a rich archaeological and historical heritage this small island has so much to offer.

Places to Visit

Plas Cadnant Estate is situated between the historic towns of Menai Bridge with its world famous bridges and heritage centre, and Beaurmaris with its picturesque Castle. The walled towns of Caernarfon and Conwy are only a short drive away.

There are lovely gardens and National Trust Houses to visit including Bodnant Gardens (approx 40 min), Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd (approx 15 min).

The Great Little Trains of Wales are a very special way of seeing some of the most beautiful scenery in the British Isles.

If you are a keen gardener or want to take something very special back to remember your stay in North Wales, there is the renowned nursery Crûg Farm, which is just a few minutes away near to Caernarfon, with so many interesting and varied species of plants from all over the world. Many 'Crûg' plants can be seen growing in Plas Cadnant Garden.

Eating Out

With a wide choice of places to eat right on your doorstep for all kinds of occasions, Menai Bridge and Beaumaris has it all. From a relaxed pub atmosphere where children are often welcomed, to the more sophisticated A la Carte venues and fine dining, all this is within just a few minutes walk or short drive. There are many cafes and tea shops where delicious local cakes can be sampled over a morning coffee or afternoon tea, after a walk round the shops or visitor attractions.

You can discover Anglesey's culinary diversity by following the 'Taste of Anglesey Food Trail' or visit the annual Oyster and Welsh produce festival or even visit the Jam Factory. Anglesey also has its own real ale brewery, a vineyard and a working windmill producing organic flour.
